Pricing guide · Remote IT support · Updated September 2026
Remote IT support costs $15 to $45 per user per month in 2026 for unlimited helpdesk with endpoint management, patching and security basics. Per-device plans run $5 to $15, ad-hoc hourly support $60 to $150, and a dedicated remote technician $1,800 to $3,500 per month. ITSecOps delivers 24/7 remote support at a fixed monthly price per user, quoted in writing within one business day.
How much does remote IT support cost per user?
| Model | Typical 2026 price | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Per user, unlimited remote helpdesk | $15 to $45 per user per month | 10 to 500 employee companies wanting predictable cost |
| Per device | $5 to $15 per device per month | Shared-device environments (retail, clinics, shifts) |
| Hourly / pay as you go | $60 to $150 per hour | Occasional needs, under 10 staff |
| Dedicated remote technician | $1,800 to $3,500 per month | Companies needing a named engineer without a local hire |
Where you sit in the range depends on coverage hours (business hours vs 24/7), whether servers and Microsoft 365 administration are included, security add-ons (EDR, MDR, backup), and response SLAs.
What should be included at $15 to $45 per user?
Unlimited remote helpdesk tickets, device management (patching, updates, monitoring), Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace administration, onboarding and offboarding of staff, and basic security hygiene. At the upper end of the range you should also get 24/7 coverage, EDR, backup and compliance reporting. If a quote excludes those, it is not comparable.
Is offshore remote support cheaper, and is it any good?
Yes and yes, when it is run properly. Delivery from our European and Indian hubs is what makes a $15 to $30 per user price possible with the same toolset (RMM, PSA, MDM) a local MSP uses. The quality difference comes from process (documented runbooks, ISO 27001-aligned delivery, named escalation engineers), not geography. Time zones become an advantage: your tickets get worked overnight.
Remote-only vs full managed IT: when is remote enough?
If your team is on laptops with cloud apps, remote support covers 95 percent of tickets, and hardware issues are handled by local depot or courier swaps (see global laptop provisioning and MDM). Companies with on-premise servers or complex sites keep a hybrid model: remote-first with scheduled or on-call site visits.
Frequently asked questions
What is a fair IT support cost per user for a 50-person company?
$750 to $2,250 per month total ($15 to $45 per user) depending on coverage hours and what security is bundled. A quote far below that usually excludes patching or after-hours coverage.
Do you support US, UK, Middle East and Asia time zones?
Yes, coverage is 24/7 across our delivery hubs, with support in English and local-language options in selected regions.
Can we keep our existing tools?
Yes. We work in your RMM, PSA and Microsoft tenant, or provide the full stack if you have none.
Is there a minimum seat count?
Ten users for per-user plans. Below that, hourly or per-device usually works out cheaper for you, and we will say so.
